IT Application Specialist Apprenticeship Programme
Overview
This apprenticeship qualification incorporates an ITQ level 2 which runs for between 12 and 24 months. Apprentices gain nationally recognised British Computer Society qualifications in IT which demonstrate practical competence and knowledge alongside skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT. Our programme is due to start in September 2012.
Delivery
This qualification requires 300 Guided Learning Hours (GLH), 105 on the job and 105 off the job (at the centre or at home) plus 90 GLH which can be either.
The student will visit Cameo for ½ day per week or 1 day per fortnight, for the duration of their training. 3 hours training a week will be carried out at the work place (calculations based on 42 week programme).
Career Development
This qualification equips individuals with skills for a variety of office based job roles to support an organisation's customers, people and processes. On completion of this Level 2 qualification, apprentices can then progress onto a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT Application Specialists.
